Plasticana shoes are produced in France from a mixture of recycled plastic and locally grown hemp fiber.

Hemp plants are very productive in absorbing carbon from the atmosphere and are fundamental to the company's goal of reducing dependence on petroleum-based plastic.

The result is a completely recyclable and sustainable material with a characteristic golden brown color, caused by the sugars in the mixture which are heated during the thermal molding process.
